Virginia is an organization of thousands of Virginians who are
joining forces and pooling resources to make Virginia a place in
which all citizens enjoy equal rights, regardless of sexual
orientation or gender identity. |

Equality Maryland is Maryland's
largest lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) civil rights
organization, fighting throughout the state to win equal rights. We
are a voice for the LGBT community in Annapolis, in the media, and
across the entire State.

than 600,000 diverse members to ensure equality for the gay,
lesbian, bisexual and transgender community. |

The Arlington Gay & Lesbian Alliance (AGLA) is a
nonpartisan 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that strives to improve
the quality of life and meet the needs of the Gay and Lesbian
community throughout Arlington, Virginia. We are committed to
creating an organization that reflects the diversity of the
Arlington community and building relationships with business and
civic groups and community leaders. |

This law, (DC Law 9-114, effective June 11, 1992),
authorizes unmarried persons, whether of the same sex or different
genders and regardless of one's place of residence, to register as
domestic partners in the District of Columbia. Registration enables
the partners to be eligible to receive health care insurance
coverage if one of the partners works for and was employed by the
District government after 1987. The law also guarantees the partners
mutual visitation rights in hospitals, and nursing homes. |

The Alexandria Gay and Lesbian Community Association
(Alexandria GLCA) is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization based in
Alexandria, Virginia, that strives to enhance the quality of life
for the local gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender (GLBT)
community through social activities, political awareness, and
community service. |

First published in 1969, The Washington Blade has
grown impressively becoming the weekly news source for Washington’s
large and visible Gay community. We have been recognized by The
Society of Professional Journalists, The American Bar Association,
The Washington Post, The New York Times, The D.C. Metropolitan
Police Department and others, as a highly professional news
organization. |

lesbian magazine for more than 12 years! The print and web editions
are published every Thursday and copies can be picked up for free at

Equality Fairfax is a 501(c)(3) charitable,
nonpartisan, not for profit corporation established to eliminate
discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity in
the county of Fairfax, Virginia. Equality Fairfax strives to meet
its goal through dialog, visibility, charitable endeavors and civic
involvement; all efforts aim to achieve equality by educating and
informing Fairfax County residents and business, religious and
community leaders on the needs, concerns and contributions of their
gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender neighbors. |
