January Saturday, January 26, 2008 Home of Larry and Ed - Alexandria, VA Click to RSVP: JAN-event@partnersdc.com Please RSVP by January 24th	Annual Meeting, White Elephant Gift Exchange and Potluck Dinner Time: 5:00pm (Business Meeting), 6:30pm (Social) The election of officers and board members will be followed by our monthly social event, a potluck dinner and white elephant gift exchange. Members may attend the annual meeting and all are invited to attend the potluck and white elephant gift exchange. Each couple should bring one white elephant gift. When you RSVP please let the hosts know whether you are bringing a main dish or a side dish. Beverages and dessert are being provided.

Soon we will see the Cherry Blossoms after a few months of cold. To celebrate our relationships this month, Dan and Tony are opening their home for our St. Patrick’s Day Social on Saturday, March 15, 2008. The evening will begin with dinner prepared by Dan and Tony. They have excellent culinary skills and their dinner parties are always enjoyable.

What better way to find out than to see a live production of the perfect introduction to opera, Puccini's "La Boehme" — and munch on popcorn and Snow-Caps while you do? The Metropolitan Opera created quite a stir last year, when it began beaming live high-definition opera performances into movie theaters. "Boehme" is the story of young love and loss that the musical "Rent" was based on, but in its original setting: the Latin Quarter of 1830 Paris. The story is poignant, the music, ravishing. It's the perfect introduction to opera, even if you think you hate opera. In Italian with English subtitles. Saturday, April 5, 2008 (1:30 – 4:50 pm ET), two intermissions. Tickets are $22. Regal Ballston Cinemas, Arlington, Va. (Ballston Common Mall). Metro accessible via the Ballston Station on the Orange Line. It seems one theater is sold out and a second theater is likely to sell out too. Rick and James are sponsoring a family friendly event on Saturday, May 10, 2008. Our afternoon bowling event will be fun and exciting for all of us – prior bowling experience not required. U.S. Bowling has a restaurant and bar for munches and drinks during our lane time. Where: at US Bowling at 100 South Pickett Street in Alexandria VA 22304. Reserved lane time is between 2 and 5pm shoe rental is $4.50 and the lane fee is 3.75 per game. Dinner will be decided by the group at the bowling alley RSVP by the 2nd of May

Each couple should bring a bottle of wine, preferably with a pretty or unusual label. We will provide the snacks -- mostly cheese and crackers/French bread, but we'll have other munchies (e.g., wraps or egg rolls, cookies).

The event will start at 1pm. RSVPs need to be returned by July 12th. There will not be a Board meeting preceding the event. This will be the Partners Annual Picnic where we get together with friends and meet prospective couples that have showed interest at Pride. Food and soft drinks will be provided. Please remember that alcohol is not permitted in the City Park.

All you have to bring is yourself and your partner and as we play the Newlywed Game everyone will know how well you know your partner. We don’t make up the questions we get them from the original Newlywed Game. This is really a fun filled evening with a Buffet dinner at 6:00, and after dinner we play the Newlywed Game.
